Audience feedback from the Dixon Place performances:

“I can’t imagine a more thrilling and necessary work-in-progress . . . We’re skating close to something true and raw here . . . and also laughing, thank God. I hadn’t imagined the stew could be that rich, or theatrical . . . “

“I loved that the audience is just as much the “subject” as the actor/characters. . . . So many brilliant and flashing moments (the beginning time sequence is hair-raising) . . . I am still thinking about it and I’m sure I will continue to— perhaps one of the best things that could be said about any piece of art is that it opens a bunch of cans of worms. This did.”

“I have not experienced anything like it, I was surprised and excited by how quickly you engaged the audience to participate – it is because there were no tricks, just honesty and creativity and wonder/curiosity . . . and there was actual suspense in the theatre, which is rare. This is important work.”

“I was terrified. And that was wonderful.”

“A high-wire act without a net . . . Like stand-up but of course much denser, layered, stranger, and way more experimental and ambitious.”
